Our History

Eight decades and counting.....

Gregory Abrams Davidson LLP has been serving its clients, providing high quality legal advice for over eight decades.

The firm’s identity as ‘Gregory Abrams Davidson’ began in 2003, when Gregory Abrams Solicitors merged with Davidsons Solicitors.

Gregory Abrams Solicitors’ journey began back in 1980, with the opening of a general legal practice by the firm’s founder, Gregory Abrams.

Davidsons Solicitors, a leading commercial solicitor’s practice, is able to trace its roots back to its founding solicitor, Lester Davidson, who began practicing in 1938.

Both practices quickly established themselves as leading Liverpool law firms; Gregory Abrams specialising in litigation, personal injury and family law and Davidsons, led by Barry Davidson, in business law, property and company law.

Over the years, both firms continued to distinguish themselves and were involved in various high profile cases during their many years of continuous legal practice.

The practice was incorporated into ‘Gregory Abrams Davidson LLP’ in 2006.

On 1st October 2009, the firm acquired London-based commercial and property law specialists, RJR Law.

This strategic acquisition is a positive move for both practices. RJR Law’s clients will benefit from the combined firm’s “full service” offering and Gregory Abrams Davidson LLP will boost its growing presence in London and the South of England, strengthening its reputation in corporate and property law.

Looking Forward

From its beginnings as a high street solicitors practice, the firm has grown to be recognised nationally for its expertise in the following practice areas: Property, Company and Commercial, Personal injury, Clinical Negligence, Dispute Resolution, Private Client (wills and probate) and Wealth Management, Family and Social Welfare law.
