
Ian is a senior solicitor. He qualified in 1990 and has been successfully recruited by the firm following his previous role as a Partner and Head of Probate and Probate at a well established competitor, where he worked for over 12 years.
Ian heads the firms Private Client Department which handles a diverse range of inter-connected disciplines, many of a highly technical and specialist nature.

Ian regularly lectures for the Merseyside Pension Fund on both pre-retirement and “mid-life crisis” courses and is actively involved with a number of specially selected Financial Investment Groups to provide a comprehensive package of measures to secure Client’s objectives in the most tax efficient way.
He is also no stranger to the “glare” of national publicity and was, in it’s heyday, regularly consulted to provide Legal perspectives upon the storylines of a famous, yet very local, national Soap. However, Ian will be the first to admit that “Legal Realities” were never allowed by the script writers to “mess up a good story line!”
Ian and his partner have 3 children. The youngest will be attending medical school in 2010. He is a keen martial artist in a number of disciplines and a student of the Japanese language.
