MRSA and C. Difficile are the most common infections to acquire although the catching of the infection itself does not always mean that medical negligence has occurred.

Example of potential medical negligence in respect of infection cases are as follows:

  • Failure to screen for MRSA or C. Difficile
  • Failure to adequately interpret or communicate the results of MRSA or C. Difficile
  • Failure to adequately treat MRSA or C. Difficile
